    9/9/16 - Introductory dialogue worth 20 points. The dialogue should include a greeting, names, pleased to meet, how are you and goodbyes. You will be graded on Content, Comprehensibility, Fluency, Accuracy and Effort.
    16/9/16 - Students will have a quiz on the Spanish alphabet. It will be worth 25 points.
    23/9/16 - Students will be having a quiz on the numbers 1-100. The quiz will be worth 30 points. There are 2 sections on the quiz - listening and writing the number in Spanish. Students can review with the link to www.quizlet.com on google classroom and search "#'s 1-100 in Spanish".
    30/9/16 - Students will be having a quiz on telling time in Spanish. The first section of the quiz will be listening to a time in Spanish and writing the correct time. The second part of the quiz will be reading the times on clocks and writing it out in Spanish. Students can review on www.quizlet.com and search "telling time in Spanish". The quiz will be worth 36 points.
    19/10/16 - Students will be having a test on the Para Empezar section of the book. It will be worth 70 points and count as the summative assessment for the 1st marking period. The test will include sections on listening, weather, classroom objects, writing the date in Spanish, answering [[#|questions]] in Spanish and a fill in the blank vocabulary section. They should then go to the Para Empezar section and they can complete the practice activities, puzzles and listening practice as well.     12/12 & 13/12/16 - Students will be presenting their Benchmarks for the 2nd marking period summative assessment. The benchmark is based off of Diario #1, which the students have handed in and will receive back in order to make revisions. Students will need to [[#|create]] a visual to accompany the oral [[#|presentation]], which must be memorized. The Benchmark is worth 50 points.
    14/12/16 - Students will be having a vocabulary quiz on Capítulo 2A. It is worth 30 points. They will need to know all the school subjects, how to describe the classes (easy, difficult, fun, boring, etc...) and they will also need to know the ordinal numbers. There will be some questions to answer as well. Students can review by using www.realidades.com and searching Realidades 1, 2A. They can also review by going to www.phschool.com and entering the web code jck-1001. Then can then go to Capítulo 2A on the Teacher Home page.     16/2/17 - Students will be having a test on Capítulo 3A. It will be worth 80 points. The test will include sections on listening, reading, ER/IR verb conjugations, answering questions in Spanish and talking about foods and drinks that they like and don't like. There will also be a couple of culture questions about foods and meals in the Spanish speaking world. Students can review by going to www.quizlet.com and searching Realidades 1,3A. They should then go to the Capítulo 3A section where they can complete the practice activities, puzzles and listening practice. If none is assigned, students can still [[#|practice]] [[#|vocabulary]] or look over their notes. Each student has been told to copy |a phone number/email address of a [[#|study buddy]] in class. They can contact this student if they are having difficulty understanding an assignment Students will begin most [[#|assignments]] at the end of class.
